What is egg freezing or oocyte vitrification?

This is the preservation process through which mature eggs are frozen and stored to make the most out of their reproductive potential in the future, to have a baby when you feel ready. 

Egg freezing: How does it work?

Our egg freezing programs allow you to preserve your eggs in their optimal state under strict laboratory standards and regulations, this process is possible through the following steps:

- Ovarian stimulation: The first step involves the growth and maturation of eggs in preparation for their retrieval.

- Egg retrieval: Follicle aspiration is performed to retrieve mature eggs.

- Egg cryopreservation: Ultra-rapid freezing at -320.8 °F

- Safeguard: Storage at the Ingenes nitrogen banks for 1 year.

- Report: Indicates the number and quantity of eggs in storage.

Who can choose to freeze their eggs?

Fertility preservation by freezing eggs is useful and recommended for the following patients:

-Women who have recently been diagnosed with cancer, or who are about to begin some oncological treatment such as chemotherapy or radiotherapy, which may compromise their fertility health and quality.

-Women who suffer from a disease that puts their reproductive health at risk.

-Women who have been diagnosed with endometriosis or ovarian problems.-Women under the age of 35 who simply wish to postpone their motherhood.

What happens once you're ready to have your baby?

1-Your eggs will go through a thawing process once you're ready to use them.

2-Afterward, your eggs will be fertilized through an In Vitro Fertilization cycle.

3-The IVF process will give way to embryos which will then be selected for transfer.

4-Embryo transfer will take place, during this step the embryo is placed into the uterus.

5-Your pregnancy will begin and you will gestate your baby for 9 months.

6-You will welcome your baby home and continue with your life plan.
