Dr. Jaime Rafael Larach del Castillo is an OB-GYN with over 16 years of experience in women’s health and more than a decade in reproductive medicine. He graduated from the Universidad Nacional de Colombia and Universidad de Antioquía, and his general medical degree was validated in Spain by the Universidad de Sevilla. He completed his postgraduate studies in Gynecology and Obstetrics at Universidad Nacional de Colombia and earned a Master’s in Human Reproduction from Universidad Rey Juan Carlos in collaboration with the Valencian Institute of Infertility (IVI).

He enhanced his training with clinical rotations and diplomas at Hospital 12 de Octubre, Clínica Tambre, and IVI Madrid, as well as a fellowship in IVI Panama. He also received advanced training in hysteroscopy, gynecological laparoscopy, and endoscopic surgery. He is fluent in English (C1 level).

He has been an active participant in national and international congresses such as REDLARA, ESHRE, and other academic updates in Colombia and Europe.
He is author and co-author of several scientific publications on male fertility, preimplantation genetic diagnosis, ovarian stimulation, and IVF techniques. One of his most notable contributions is the original article The impact of the new 2010 WHO criteria for semen analyses on the diagnostic of male fertility, published in JBRA Assist. Reprod.

He currently provides comprehensive care in assisted reproduction with an ethical, evidence-based, and patient-centered approach.
